Auto liability insurance is now required by Mexican law and US policies are not valid in Mexico. So, insurance is needed, at minimum, for liability. Policies are inexpensive by US standards and short-term to annual policies are available. Click here for information and quotes from the insurance provider we recommend.
The bay and estuary are excellent for standup paddleboards and sailboats and there is a paved public boat ramp. Fishing is good in the bay and around the peninsula point. A local fishing guide service does half and full day trips in the bay and to Isla Todos Santos.
