How I became a Real Estate Broker
Meet Matthew Dunn, a licensed real estate agent based in Mexico with a rich and diverse background.
I grew up in Oklahoma, Washington State, and New York. As a proud United States Army veteran, I served in the military before pursuing college studies in piano music.
I entered the corporate world, gaining valuable sales experience at American Honda Motor Corp. in Olympia, Washington. It was here that I honed the principles of sales that would later serve me well in the real estate industry.
For the past 14 years, I've been a resident of the Punta Banda/La Bufadora/Ensenada areas in Mexico, where I've played a pivotal role in a successful real estate and rental company. I am passionate about helping clients secure the best deals, ensuring satisfaction for both buyers and sellers.
Living in Mexico has afforded me the opportunity to experience the vibrant culture, delicious food, and affordability that the country offers. I believe that Mexico is the best place to live and highlight the advantages of living in close proximity to the United States – making the city an ideal location for those who value the convenience of being just a few hours' drive away from amenities, relatives, and friends.

Let me tell you a short story about how I became a Real Estate Broker and why I chose to develop my business in Baja California

Hi, I’m Irka Davis and I’ve been running Baja Bungalows – aka: Baja Real Estate & Rentals – since 2004. We are a full-service real estate sales and property management company based in Punta Banda, on a beautiful peninsula just south of Ensenada in Baja California.

About the region:

Just two hours south of San Diego, the Punta Banda peninsula – which forms the southern lip of the nearly 10 mile wide Bay of Ensenada – is truly an undiscovered oasis. Most Baja travelers zip right by going north or south, not even knowing what they’re missing. You take a 90 degree turn west off the transpeninsula highway, then, five or more miles later, you’re in our neighborhood.

“Our neighborhood” is a treasure of natural delights and tranquility. We have a large community of beachside homes – sales & rentals – on one of the most spectacular wide white sand beaches anywhere in “the Californias.”
We have homes perched on the peninsula hilltops, with unobstructed 180 degree plus views down the coastline to the south and to the north. We go to sleep at night watching the lights of Ensenada Bay. If your looking to relax and enjoy family time, this is the place. The house is beautiful and specious. My family and I truly enjoyed it. The fact that the property manager lives in the back house makes u feel safe.
